The man by the sea
We live in a bubble of sorts when it comes to recycling and keeping our country clean. Last year I was in Beirut walking along the ocean walk way. There was a man on the beach, he was surrounded by empty plasic bottles and garbage of every sort. He had taken some rocks and piled them up about 2 feet high and 4'x6" area. This was his bubble. His mandate was to keep his area clean but all around him was litter. In many ways we are like this man. We are happy to keep our yards clean while our roadside are littered with garbage. To keep our yards clean we haul all this garbage to the dump so we don't have to see it or deal with it. Who is the best steward for our planet?
